I first saw two scarves being worn together on Laura Wears(here, here, and here) and decided to personalize it. Since I’ve been trying to decrease the cost of wear on my items, I decided to pair my silk/lighter scarves with my heavier, warmer scarves together. The latter scarves that I have tend to be in solid colors, thus clashing of prints is less likely to happen. It’s a win-win situation as I still get to wear my prettier scarves during colder weather and still be warm. For this outfit, I paired my silk batik scarf with a pashmina scarf. I picked the batik motif to match the floral print on my dress, thus double scarves, double floral!

Argyle is one of my favorite Fall/Winter print and little did I know it originated from tartan. Thanks Wikipedia! In any case, here’s another outfit featuring orange and gray argyle. (Previous argyle outfit here)
To view the other outfits for the new year, check out Forever29.This year, sartorial wise I resolve to decrease the cost per wear of my garments and stay focused on purchasing classics. I have them pinned on Pinterest here. (Yes, I finally joined Pinterest! Better late than never, right?)
Well, dear readers, may 2013 be everything you wished for & more! What are some of your 2013 resolutions? Kindly share!
p/s: I have something planned for the blog scheduled to happen soon. (fingers crossed!) Stay tuned!
I almost always pair this shirt with this vest as a go-to outfit for work in the colder seasons. The shirt has a gray-paneled back and embellished diamantes on the front that would, otherwise not be suitable for work except on casual Fridays. How do you pair or mask casual garments to make it more appropriate for work?
Growing up, Christmas was a family gathering where we would gather at my aunt’s house for a potluck party. Since moving here to the US, Christmas for the most part is a day to unwind and have some “me time.” (preferably with some egg nog, of course!) This week’s What to Wear Where got me thinking about Christmas tradition. Since I don’t really have one, I decided to start one – wearing a gifted item to celebrate Christmas. Christmas for me as a non-Christian has always been appreciating the wonderful people that I have in my life. To show my love and appreciation, I think it’s only apt that I don gifts that I have received as part of my Christmas tradition.
Come this Christmas day, I’ll be home in this cozy outfit that consists of gifts that I’ve received throughout my life.
I wore this outfit some weekends ago to run errands and just realized that I didn’t get around to posting it. I absolutely love this H&M sweater and it’s the only piece of clothing I’ve bought during my clothing ban to replace an older sweater. I had a coupon and scored it for only $9! It is made of 90% acrylic (yes, I know it’s material to be avoided but I plan on dry cleaning it) and 10% mohair and definitely keeps me warm and cozy!
