To view the other outfits for the new year, check out Forever29.This year, sartorial wise I resolve to decrease the cost per wear of my garments and stay focused on purchasing classics. I have them pinned on Pinterest here. (Yes, I finally joined Pinterest! Better late than never, right?)
Well, dear readers, may 2013 be everything you wished for & more! What are some of your 2013 resolutions? Kindly share!
p/s: I have something planned for the blog scheduled to happen soon. (fingers crossed!) Stay tuned!
I almost always pair this shirt with this vest as a go-to outfit for work in the colder seasons. The shirt has a gray-paneled back and embellished diamantes on the front that would, otherwise not be suitable for work except on casual Fridays. How do you pair or mask casual garments to make it more appropriate for work?
Growing up, Christmas was a family gathering where we would gather at my aunt’s house for a potluck party. Since moving here to the US, Christmas for the most part is a day to unwind and have some “me time.” (preferably with some egg nog, of course!) This week’s What to Wear Where got me thinking about Christmas tradition. Since I don’t really have one, I decided to start one – wearing a gifted item to celebrate Christmas. Christmas for me as a non-Christian has always been appreciating the wonderful people that I have in my life. To show my love and appreciation, I think it’s only apt that I don gifts that I have received as part of my Christmas tradition.
Come this Christmas day, I’ll be home in this cozy outfit that consists of gifts that I’ve received throughout my life.
I wore this outfit some weekends ago to run errands and just realized that I didn’t get around to posting it. I absolutely love this H&M sweater and it’s the only piece of clothing I’ve bought during my clothing ban to replace an older sweater. I had a coupon and scored it for only $9! It is made of 90% acrylic (yes, I know it’s material to be avoided but I plan on dry cleaning it) and 10% mohair and definitely keeps me warm and cozy!
Sweater: H&M 2012
Vest: DKNY F/W 2006
Jeans: J Brand Mid-Rise 805 Straight Leg in Ink (similar)
Resuming from a short break, this week’s rendition of What to Wear Where is the Thanksgiving outfit. If you can’t already tell, I quite enjoy this series of W2WW link ups. I was almost a little sad when there was no schedule or announcement of the next link up and tweeted Melissa of I Pick Pretty about it! To my relief, it was going on a short hiatus and not gone forever. Phew. 😛
Enough rambling and here’s an outfit that I would wear for Thanksgiving… (and for more outfits, head to Amy of Forever29‘s blog)
In the recent years, I have been wearing sweater dresses to Thanksgiving dinner when invited but I think I will switch things up a little this year and wear something brighter i.e. the jacquard H&M dress that is worn as a skirt. The colors also match beautifully with the Adia Kibur sample stone bib necklace courtesy of their PR team.
What will you be wearing for Thanksgiving this year? Do share!
